  Hi,

  This is a nice collection about Symbolic URL.If the exterlink is www.mail.yahoo.com / siebel analytics application,then how to bypass siebel login and password to open ext.application home page.(witout entering login details)

  Dont know about Yahoo, but there is definately a way to do it for Analytics because there is a feature to embed analytics reports in Siebel CRM. So there should be a way to do it. I am not aware of it. Let me know if you find it.

  Thanks for the quick update.

  I would like share my approach with u for your comments.

  I think we can enter into Siebel Analytics Application without entering login details by passing below arguments to symbolic URL?
  nqUser- UseSiebelLoginId ; nqPassword- UseSiebelLoginPassword
  But to implement this complete auto login solution,I think we need to do some more configurations at cfg file,eappas.cfg etc..I am working on it and will update once i am done. Your suggestions are most welcome on this subject.

  By the way we dont want manually enable SSO(SINGLE SIGN ON) on our web server.I mean adding siebel users to SSO server etc..If we do this we can use auto login features.

  Hi
  Can you guys guide me how to set up paramerized Symbolic URL. I need to pass SR id to the destination URL and it will be Java application which I want to open in the Siebel framework.

  Also share how to enable SSO (SINGLE SIGN ON) so that user do not need to logged in again in Java Application (embedded using Symbolic URL).

  Your help n guidance is highly appreciated.

  Hi,
  Nice post.
  I am unable to open yahoo.com even though I have followed steps as given in the document.
  Pop up window opens but no action takes place after that.

  Check values under Symbolic URL Administration. Also try logout and login.

  Seems to work, but (using www.google.com) I get:
  405. That’s an error.
  The request method POST is inappropriate for the URL /. That’s all we know.

  I am trying to embed google.com into an applet.
  Unable to see any thing in the applet after configuring the symbolic URL.
