making mass "account team" changes

We use the "account team" function in Siebel to specify which accounts each of our sales reps has. When a sales rep leaves the company we have to manually change the "account team" to the new sales rep, which takes a considerable amount of time, usually 500+ accounts.  Is there a way to make a mass update from one account team to a different one?

I am assuming these are manually assigned Accounts and second the person replacing the sales rep will have different positions.

If this you case, I dont know if there is any out of the box funtionality since they have been assigned manually which overides Assignment Manager rules.

The only way I can think of is to do some sort of scripting to pass parameter dynamically from the UI and run it as a server job on request. This might not be the best solution but this should work.
